Two Businesses Approved for Small Business Incentive Program Reimbursement Grant at May Board Meeting

May 30, 2018

All About Burgers Etc. and Laundry Solutions will both soon have an updated look thanks to a Small Business Incentive Program reimbursement grant from the Borger Economic Development Corporation. On May 8, 2018, the BEDC Board of Directors approved both business’ applications to update their appearances and purchase equipment necessary to continue to operate their businesses in Borger.

Cim Baker of All About Burgers Etc. presented her application and discussed the need to paint, upgrade restaurant equipment to handle higher capacities, replace flooring, build a new waitress station, and repair the parking lot at the restaurant, located at 3245 Fairlanes Blvd in Borger. Cim and her husband, Daniel, opened All About Burgers Etc. in 2016 and have a special connection with their customers. “I have customers who come to our restaurant every week on the same day, and if they miss a week, I always notice and say something the next time I see them. It’s like a family”, says Cim.

Laundry Solutions’ application for a new awning and HVAC unit was also approved in the May meeting.

Both businesses are expected to complete their projects by November of 2018. The projects must be completed before the businesses are eligible for a reimbursement grant from the BEDC, which will be for about 50% of what the business spends.

The BEDC previously allocated $200,000 for the Small Business Incentive Program and is still accepting applications for this program. Borger Businesses currently open at least 30 hours per week with fewer than 20 employees may be eligible. For more information, call Katie Lingor at 806-521-0027.
